Grilled Cheese and Bacon Jam Sandwich
Ingredients
- 2 slices good quality crusty bread preferably sourdough
- Large handful of grated cheddar gruyère or a mix of both
- 2 tbsp Bacon Jam with Red Onion Brandy recipe on Flaevor
- 2 tablespoons of butter
Instructions
- Heat a non-stick frying pan low-medium heat. (Alternatively, you can use a grilled sandwich press).
- Using a bowl, gently combine cheese and bacon jam.
- Generously butter each bread slice. Turnover and on the non-buttered side spread cheese-bacon jam mixture. Place remaining slice on top.
- Lay buttered side of bread down into pan and slowly toast until nicely browned and cheese has started to melt. Flip and repeat on the other side until the cheese it completely melted.
- Slice in half and enjoy!
