
Tangy Black Lime Hot Honey Drizzle
A tangy twist on a hot honey recipe that uses Middle Eastern ground black lime with multiple uses. Ground chilli flakes blend with the citrus depth of dried black lime to create a nicely balanced citrus and spicy flavour with a tangy edge. It’s perfect for drizzling over a toasted cheddar and feta sandwich (seen below), pizza, a garnish for yoghurt or labneh, or brushing onto roasted vegetables to give them a glossy, caramelised finish.

Black Lime Hot Honey
Hot honey infused with chilli flakes and dried black lime
Ingredients
- 250ml honey
- 1/2 tsp dried chilli flakes, ground into powder
- 1/2 tsp Ground dried black lime
Instructions
- Add the honey, ground chilli and black lime to a small saucepan. Heat and simmer for 1–2 minutes to infuse. Do not allow the honey to boil. Cool and store in an airtight glass container.
