Habanero Mango Hot Sauce
Delicious fruity and spicy hot sauce with flavours of the Caribbean
- 4 habanero peppers chopped
- 1 mango peeled and chopped
- 1 small white onion chopped
- 4 cloves garlic chopped
- 60ml apple cider vinegar
- 60ml water
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3/4 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 tsp salt
Place all ingredients into a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth.
Add sauce to a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil, then immediately turn down and simmer for 5 minutes.
Allow to cool for at least 2 hours so the flavours have time to develop. Transfer to an air-tight sauce bottle and refrigerate for up to one week.
