Smoked Salmon Caviar Burger

Combining a pleasing balance of fresh-from-the-fridge cold cream cheese, smoked salmon, slightly sharp thinly sliced red onion and juicy balls of caviar. Buns are buttered and charred on the inside.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 brioche bun
  • Butter
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper
  • 50g smoked salmon
  • 23 Tbsp cream cheese
  • 23 Tbsp trout or salmon caviar
  • A few thin slices of red onion
  • 1 Lettuce leaf
  • Squeeze of lemon

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a frying pan and char inside of both brioche buns.
  2. Beat egg with salt and scramble, moving the egg towards the centre of the pan to form a circle, similar to that of a beef patty.
  3. Build the burger: Layer on lettuce, squeeze over lemon juice and sprinkle with a little salt. Next, the scrambled egg, followed by salmon, red onion and caviar. Spread cream cheese on to top half of the brioche and place on top.
