Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 brioche burger bun
  • 150g beef mince
  • Pinch of cumin
  • 1/2 white onion, sliced thinly
  • Cheddar cheese slices
  • 3 sliced cooked beetroot
  • Tomato slices
  • Lettuce
  • 2 Tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp mustard
  • Sea Salt Flakes

Instructions

  1. Season beef mince with salt and form into a patty a little larger than your burger bun.
  2. Heat a frying pan with oil. Add the beef patty into the pan and place the sliced onions on top of the patty. Season the onions well with salt. Cook until the bottom is browned and crisp. Flip patty over, so that the onions are now underneath.
  3. Layer sliced pickles and cheddar cheese on top of the patty and cover with a lid. Cook until cheese has melted.
  4. Remove patty from frying pan. Keeping the fat in the pan and place brioche buns into the pan, cut side down and toast until lightly browned.
  5. Add a little more oil to the pan if needed and when hot crack in an egg and fry until crispy around the edges. Season with salt.
  6. Build your burger: layer with ketchup-mustard sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, sprinkle of salt on the tomatoes, beef patty, beetroot, fried egg and finish with brioche top.
